Some people are into hops, others – Belgians. Some are even into those big cans swill. To each their own. But I’ve come to a realization lately. I love malty beers!
There I said it.
There’s just something about them I can’t get enough of. I’m down with the hop craze and do like trying beers with strange ingredients, but when it comes down to it – give me malt.
Dopplebocks, porters, scotch ales, helles, reds, stouts. It doesn’t matter. I’ll take it. I’m not sure why I crave this.
I’ve even come to adding a little Munich into my own recipes to get that characteristic in there. Nothing to overpower the intended style, just a smidge. Think of it as my signature ingredient.
But, I just wanted to throw that out there to the universe. Now if you’ll excuse me, it’s 7:30 am and there’s a breakfast stout to be found.
